Dalgona Coffee

The Korean coffee drink taking the internet by storm, dalgona coffee is like a cappuccino turned on its head, with the frothy coffee on top and the milk underneath. It only requires three ingredients to make and you can have it hot or cold. 

Ingredients

2 tbsp instant coffee or espresso powder

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp very hot water

400ml milk

You will also need a whisk

 

Method

  1. Add the instant coffee, sugar and hot water to a medium mixing bowl. Using an electric hand-held mixer, whip the coffee mixture until it is light brown, fluffy and holds stiff peaks when the whisk is removed.
  2. Heat the milk, if desired, and divide between two heatproof glasses. Spoon dollops of the frothed coffee mixture on top and smooth out with a spoon. Serve.

Bulletproof Coffee

If you're giving intermittent fasting a try, then Bulletproof Coffee is going to be your new best friend. The combination of MCT oil, grass-fed butter and block coffee with satisfy your hunger throughout the morning without kickstarting your metabolism. 

Ingredients

1 cup of black freshly brewed coffee (cafetiere style)

1-2 tsp MTC oil

1-2 tbsp of grass-fed, unsalted butter

You will also need a high speed blender

Method

  1. Brew your coffee in a cafetiere for 5 minutes.
  2. Once brewed, add the coffee to the other ingredients in a blender. Blend for 20-30 seconds until it looks like a foamy latte.
  3. Pour into a warmed cup and enjoy.

Espresso Martini

When the clock strikes 5pm on a Friday it's time to upgrade your coffee with some tasty extras. Bring those sophisticated martini vibes into your living room with this classic Espresso Martini recipe.

Ingredients

45ml vodka

30ml espresso coffee

20ml coffee liqueur

20ml double cream (optional)

4 ice cubes

You will also need a cocktail shaker

Method

  1. Place all of the ingredients into your cocktail shaker and shake well.
  2. Fine strain into a chilled martini glass.
  3. Decorate with a couple of whole coffee beans

Salted Caramel Coffee Frappe

Summer isn't the same without tasty frappe to keep you cool. But did you know it's super easy to make them at home? So save yourself the money and a trip out to Starbucks, and whip up this tasty recipe at home within minutes.

Ingredients

1 cup of brewed cafetiere coffee (left to cool)

(or 2 espresso shots)

1 cup of milk (or plant-based alternative)

1-2 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 tsp sea salt

A handful of ice cubes

Whipped cream

You will need a high speed blender

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender jar
  2. Pulse briefly to get it going, then blend on high until smooth
  3. Use the tamper, if your blender has one, to guide the coffee cubes to the blender blades
  4. If you don't have a high powered blender with a tamper, you may need to stop the blender and move the contents around a bit a few times until it is blended smoothly
