I'm sure we've all got tuna lurking in the back of our cupboards somewhere and leftover in our fridge. So why not break the mould and turn it into something exciting. Give your tuna a spicy twist with this delicious Tuna Burger recipe.
1 tin of tuna
1 egg
A handful of grated cheese
1 tsp of a spice you like (paprika cayenne pepper, etc)
A handful sweetcorn
1/4 of an onion diced
2 burger buns
A pinch of salt
Olive oil
1. Open tuna can, drain off oil or spring water etc, put tuna in a bowl, add beaten egg, and some spice, salt and pepper, add cheese, lop in some sweet corn and diced onion and mix all together.
2. Get some cling film and make two ball shapes from the tuna mix, place them on cling film use hand to push into burger shame, wrap them in the cling film, pop it in the fridge or freezer depending on when you want them.
3. When they have firmed up, heat a little olive oil in a pan. Remove the burgers from the cling film and cook in the pan for around 1 minute and a half to 2 mins on each side.
4. When they are fully cooked, put them into a bun with some cheese if you like and a sauce of your liking and enjoy!
